Structural
This project involved the structural design of a modern office building, where functionality and architectural expression were equally prioritized. GS Engineering provided the full structural design for the concrete foundation and steel superstructure, working closely with the architect to support the building’s clean, open-concept layout.
The design features large open spans with minimal bracing to maintain flexible interior space and accommodate extensive glazing. Several cantilevered elements were incorporated to create striking architectural lines and sheltered exterior zones, requiring careful coordination of structural loads and deflection limits.
The building includes a cast-in-place elevator pit and custom monostringer stair system. The stair was designed to support polished concrete treads and a frameless glass guardrail, offering a sculptural focal point that blends structural clarity with refined aesthetics.
This project exemplifies our ability to deliver structurally efficient solutions that meet high design standards, while addressing practical considerations like constructability and material coordination.
