This project involved the assessment and certification of a mold transfer cart in use at a tool and die facility. The cart had been in service without formal engineering documentation or load capacity verification.

GS Engineering began by taking field measurements and developing a full 3D model of the existing cart. Using finite element analysis (FEA), we evaluated the structure’s capacity and verified its ability to safely handle operational loads. Based on this analysis, we issued a formal engineering certification.

A detailed on-site inspection was then conducted, revealing several areas in need of repair to restore the cart to a safe working condition. In collaboration with the client, we also designed and integrated a protective steel feature to reduce the risk of damage when the cart is moved with a forklift—enhancing both safety and longevity.

This project demonstrates our ability to provide practical, engineered solutions for legacy equipment, bringing it into compliance with modern safety and performance standards.
